Helping Pollen Collective Harnesss The Art of Digital Storytelling

Published 03 / 26 / 2021
We are delighted to announce that we are working the artists' group Pollen Collective. We will be mentoring individual artists and their organisation to help harness the power of digital storytelling.

The Artists’ Collective we are helping to share their stories

We are delighted to be partnering with Pollen Collective on our Accelerators Programme on a pro-bono basis.

As we all know, people working in the Arts have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19, so we are looking forward to helping these artists by providing them with our professional expertise. We will be working with the Collective and mentoring individual artists in the art of PR and Communications to help raise their profiles through multi-channel storytelling.

Gabrielle Shaw began this project this week by giving a talk to the artists on digital storytelling. GSC has always been passionate about art because we understand its value to the world we live in. It has always been important to us to champion those working in the arts but it is a cause of particular resonance to us as we start to approach a post-pandemic world.

Since the onset of the pandemic, Pollen Collective has been utilising technological platforms, socially distant meetings and postal art chains.

Their next exhibition, ‘Pollen Collective: Here I Made This – Dialogues of Distance’, includes eight multidisciplinary artists and is opening on the 5th of May at One Paved Court, in Richmond.

The artists have been able to make, share and collaborate in the true spirit of a collective. The artists have worked together to weave poetry into delicate paper cloth, to create mixed-media collages, photographs, sculptures, paintings, and installations that interrogate confinement and isolation concepts.
