The Inaugural AMEX Insights Network Podcast

Gabrielle Shaw Communications runs the American Express® Insights Network. It is a series of networking events to create valuable, open dialogue amongst its top 200 merchant partners and to provide them with actionable insight.

When the pandemic put an abrupt halt to all events, GSC came up with a new digital solution – a podcast that will engage merchants, continue to position Amex as thought leaders, and deliver incremental value and drive NPS in a digital way. This inaugural podcast sees an expert panel discuss resilience and how to navigate the post-Covid business climate.

Resilience: Navigating the post-Coronavirus climate: How to adapt and reach customers in new ways?’

In the weeks following the global outbreak of Covid-19, it became clear that this crisis would not only temporarily slow down the economy and upend our daily routine, it would also reshuffle our culture entirely, leading to dramatic shifts in consumer behaviour. For some organisations, near-term survival is the only item on the agenda. Others are peering through the fog of uncertainty, thinking about how to position themselves once the crisis has passed and things return to normal. The question is, ‘What the recovery will look like? How to navigate new customer demands and reach audiences in new ways? What will draw consumer back to brick-and-mortar stores?’ Whilst no one knows how long the crisis will last, what we find on the other side will not look like the normal of recent years. Businesses will have to work hard to meet ever-evolving customer expectations in order to win and to remain relevant.

The podcast will discover what behavioural changes will endure post crisis and how companies can rethink and adapt their strategies to re-engage customers, meet the new demand, stay innovative and gain competitive advantage.
