As an agency we have a long heritage with drinks and spirits so it is especially exciting to be representing world-renowned Panamanian rum brand Ron Abuelo.

Award winning Ron Abuelo has a rich, distinctive history and has been family owned for over a century. Our brief is to position Ron Abuelo as the definitive premium rum, driving greater growth for their export into the UK and Europe.

Ron Abuelo (meaning grandfather rum in Spanish) honours José Varela Blanco, a pioneer who came to Panama from Spain and created the country’s first sugar cane mill, providing the key ingredient for the prestigious Ron Abuelo rum. To this day, Ron Abuelo distilleries use their own sugar cane hand-harvested in the fields established by José in Panama’s Pese Valley. José’s legacy continues to live on with Ron Abuelo’s range of premium rum.
